By the 18th century, Chenonceau was falling to ruin. It is saved by
another great lady, Madame Dupin, a friend of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and
ancestor of the 19th-century author George Sand (Aurore Dupin). Faithful
to the ideas of her friend Rousseau, Madame Dupin is buried in the woods
outside the castle. Andy, Jessica, and Alana pay homage to a great lady
of Chenonceau.
