Hot! Hot! Hot!

It was in this castle in 1429 that Joan of Arc came to find the Dauphin Charles who took refuge here as the English armies occupied much of the rest of France.  She came saying she'd heard voices from the angels telling her to take on the mission of saving France and her king.  Charles was skeptical and disguised himself as a simple courtesan and having a companion take on the royal garb.  Joan was not fooled and identified the king immediately, telling him secrets only he and God could know.  Joan's victories over the English led to the coronation of Charles VII in the cathedral of Reims.  Soon the English kings would forever lose their possessions on the continent of Europe.
