The greatest of France's kings and queens would make this part of their lives. Here we see the mark of the great Renaissance monarchs Henri II and his wife Catherine de Médicis (see the H, along with the C in the crescent moon). We'll see much more of these two important figures as we continue our adventures, both here in Paris and in Vendée and the Valley of the Loire.
