The Puy du Fou is located on the grounds of one of the
castles that was destroyed by republican forces during the Vendée Wars
of the French Revolution.
That historical event inspired the creation of a park devoted to the recreation of different crucial moments in the history of Vendée and of France. Here we see an exhibit showing the first moments of the peasant revolt that led to the Vendée Wars. |
