On the road back down river to Vendée, we take the pause
that refreshes. This is one of our few compromises with our
commitment to quality and tradition. Yet, one thing we all note with
our little Lucie's Happy Meal is the fine quality of the talking toy
Furby. There is a decided campaign here in France to convert the
next generation of children to a new rhythm of life and and new conception of
culinary standards.
It's a small irony that the first person I catch coming out the door is Kathleen Kubal. If you know her, you can imagine how compromising this position might seem in her circle of vegetarians!!! |
