The Longest Day . . .

A brighter side of Clemenceau's life was his friendship with some of the greatest writers and artists of his time.  As an admirer of the novelist Emile Zola, who allied himself with the Tiger in the infamous Dreyfus Affair, I am easily affected by the legend of Clemenceau.  Here we see an homage to one of Clemenceau's truly great friendships, that with the painter Claude Monet.
