Lafayette, we are here!

Our meal today hardly needs a recipe at all.  It's fresh shell fish taken from the waters just beyond the fortress walls!  We'll continue with a main dish of the catch of the day, followed by a dessert called and "Īle flottante", or "Floating Isle".    The "Isle" is poached beaten egg whites floating on a bed of cream sauce with vanilla and caramel.  It's my own personal favorite of French desserts!
