Blackminster, gray skies.

Back in the Vendée-Mobile again.

This morning we are off for the northern area of Vendée, on the delta of the Loire river and on the frontier of neighboring Britanny.

Our first stop is in one of the several "eco-museums" of the region.  The eco-museum is a fairly recent development in itself, but its purpose is generally to preserve the memory of a particular moment of man's relation to the natural world around him.  In that sense, our previous visit of the Chabotterie, with its gardens, orchards, and kitchens of the 18th-century, may be considered an eco-museum.
