The Chabotterie is also famous for its temporary exhibits on the culture of Vendée. This season the feature is "Nos Ancêtres les Gaulois" -- "Our Ancesters the Gauls". This phrase is familiar to all French men and women as referring to the first people to whom they trace their roots. The phrase also dates back to the first school books many French people learned from. It is only appropriate that the first room of the exhibit recreates a classroom similar to that Dr. V. attended a discretely undetermined number of years ago. |
