Assault and Battery . . . NOT!

A quick trip south takes us to the village of Avrillé and the CAIRN, or the Centre Archéologique d'Initiation à la Recherche sur le Néolithique.  The last word, "Neolithic", is the key to our work this morning.  

We begin the day by learning the details of the construction of longhouses like the one above -- structures dating back to several thousand years before Christ, and whose features still figure in some of the houses built in this part of the world.
