Henri IV's conversion ended the worst of the religious wars, and the kingdom began to grow rich in a time of relative peace.  Henri's great minister was Sully, who was as important to him as Richelieu was to his son Louis XIII.  Here Ann Bolyard is proud to pose before the Hôtel Sully, which she has seen back home in the intro to the film Dangerous Liaisons, a book she and I read together in a recent lit class.   Those of you who on campus at WVU should keep an eye out for this work in the theater next year.  A friend of mine, Teresa Davis is working on a production of the play at our own Center for the Creative Arts.
