Here at last!

Notre Dame is in the heart of the small peninsula that is the town of Les Sables.  Like in the Middle Ages, buildings and shops have grown up literally in its shadow.  It is impossible to get a ground-level picture of its façade, but down the street a little I was able to take a shot of the church from behind.  You'll note the flying buttresses and broken arches typical of the Gothic style.
