Our late arrival to Washington had no effect on our departure from Dulles to Paris. We even arrive at Charles De Gaulle airport a little early on Friday. It's still a rush to get downtown, though. Dr. V., Lucie (our six-year-old) and I have to catch a TGV to Les Sables in pretty short order. Here Stacy Lewis (under the letter U of the sign) awaits the Metro that will take her to join several other Vendéens who have already arrived in Paris. They had an adventure of their own with a youth hostel that never confirmed their reservations. They found rooms, though, and will enjoy Paris for a couple of days before the arrival of all the Vendéens on Tuesday May 29. |
