Pursuing Your Graduate Degree

Maintain GPA - The University requires that all graduate students maintain at least a 2.75 GPA; however, some departments have higher standards. Additionally, some departments require a grade of "B" or better in all course work used for your graduate program. Please check with your department regarding special requirements.

Under no circumstances will a grade of "D" be counted toward a graduate degree. Any course used for graduation (and listed on you Plan of Study) for which a grade of "D" has been received will have to be repeated.

Continuous Enrollment - Students formally admitted to candidacy for graduate degrees are required to register for at least one credit hour each semester as a condition of their continued candidacy.

Plan of Study - This is a formal agreement between student and program faculty as to the conditions which must be met for completion of the degree requirements. Check with your department to obtain a copy of their Plan of Study or download the college documents below. All plans of study are to be submitted to the Graduate Records Office for the Dean's approval.
