COURSE GOALS: The aims of this course will be to explore various sensory systems at the psychophysical, neurophysiological and molecular levels of analysis.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  1. Gain an understanding of sensory systems across taxa.
  2. Learn how psychophysics informs us about sensory function/acuity.
  3. Gain critical reading and discussion skills.
  4. Public Presentation skills.
  5. Enhance you writing and reviewing skills.

CLASS CONDUCT: It is expected that you familiarize yourself with the relevant reading material before class. I also expect that you participate in discussions by specifically asking/answering questions and leading discussions.

COURSE GRADING POLICY: Your course grade will be based upon the percentage of points scored over total points available. There will be 100 total point's available broken down as follows:
