Directions to Morgantown

From Pittsburgh: Morgantown is about 74 miles / 1 hr 30 min from the Pittsburgh International Airport, the closest major airport. (Morgantown does have a small local airport.) Directions from downtown Pittsburgh are here. Bus and limousine services are available. Contact Airport Limo at (800) 326-2907.

From Washington, DC: Morgantown is about 207 miles / 3 hr 45 min from Washington, DC.

From Buffalo, NY: Morgatown is about 290 miles / 5 hours from Buffalo.

From New York (JFK): Morgantown is about 399 miles / 7 hours from JFK Airport in New York.

Festival Location and WVU Maps

The Festival opens 7pm on April 23, at 123 Pleasant Street, a classic performance venue in downtown Morgantown. The evening reading on April 24th will be held at the Morgantown Theater Company, 276 Walnut Street, from 7-10pm. The evening readings on April 25 and 26th will be held at the Monongalia Arts Center, 107 High Street, from 7-10pm.

Daytime events on April 24, 25, and 26th will be held in the Mountaineer Room of West Virginia University's Mountainlair student center. For a WVU map, click here.

West Virginia University's Personal Rapid Transit system (PRT) is a monorail connecting all parts of campus. The PRT costs a quarter and makes it easy to get from one end of Morgantown to another.

Accommodations

All festival participants must make hotel reservations for themselves. The Festival Directors can supply a list of local hotels.

The Hotel Morgan. Rates: $76/night. This historic hotel is situated in downtown Morgantown, easy walking distance to the Festival events. Register by April 10 to ensure the Festival rate.
