I teach Principles of Biology (Biology 115), Introductory Physiology (Biology 117), and Animal Behavior (Biology 438). Prior to coming to West Virginia University, I had other teaching experiences at Frostburg State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and at Western Michigan University as a Doctoral Associate. I enjoy teaching very much and especially like interactions with students considering broad topics in biological sciences. My special interests include ecology, evolutionary biology, and amphibian conservation. Currently, I am completing my Ph.D. dissertation on the anti-predator chemical ecology of two North American toad species entitled, “Bufadienolides in the chemical defenses of Bufo americanus and Bufo fowleri (Anura: Bufonidae).”
