Undergraduate admission
to WVU is based on a combination of your high school GPA and
your highest composite ACT or SAT score. You also should have
earned high school credit for the following: 4 units of
English, 3 units of social science, 3 units of mathematics
(algebra 1 and 2, geometry), 2 units of lab science (i.e.
biology, chemistry, physics). Course work in foreign languages
and computer science is recommended and some majors may require
additional mathematics credit.
In-state students must earn a high school GPA
of at least 2.0 and 910 SAT score or a 19 composite ACT score.
Out-of-state students must earn a 2.25 GPA and a 950 SAT score
or a 20 composite ACT score. Students interested in computer
science, forensic and investigative science, or teacher education must meet higher
requirements.
